Information day for danes

The day started with the intervention of the Mayor of Mijas, Antonio Sánchez - Pacheco and the Ambassador of Denmark in Madrid, Lars Thuesen.

The conference had several speakers whom shared important and useful information. After the opening, Birgitte Jørgensen, Deputy Head of International Department of Early retirement in Denmark and her colleague Christian Svendsen, Head of International Department of Retirement in Denmark. They informed about the right to receive retirement for those Danes living outside Denmark, additional personal benefits and health care in the EU, etc.

There was also an intervention by Poul Dahl Hede, adviser of the Danish Association of Retired Persons in Denmark. Poul introduced the new electronic instruments that can be used to obtain information and/or register for different matters.

Before midday Jyske Bank offered an informative talk by Christian Bjørløv Private Banking, Wealth Overview by Søren Jensen Jeanne Langkjær and finally about repatriation to Denmark by Erik Kryger.

Annette Skou, Head of Foreign Department of the Mijas Town Hall offered along with Jesper Sander Pedersen, journalist from Radio Solymar, information on benefits and availability of support in Spain.

After lunch break, the day continued in the afternoon with a very interesting intervention by Erik Jørgensen and Morten Olsen Elmenhoff from the Ministry of Finance in Denmark and the Department of Economics, Law and Social. They talked about double taxation agreement, the consequences of the lack of an agreement and the rules for staying in Denmark for Danes living abroad.

The day concluded with the intervention of Radio Solymar Pia Bruun, Pastor Jørn Sjoholm and Mona Davidsen Consul in Malaga, informing on procedures and assistance in case of death of a family member in Spain.
